Continuing Medical Education:

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the Ohio State Medical Association (OSMA) and the Ohio Gastroenterology Society. The OSMA is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
 

  • Approved for 4.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

  • Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 4.5 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

  • Nurses and Physician Assistants may also claim Category 1 credits.

  • Through their reciprocity agreements, many licensing, credentialing and professional organizations accept courses from any provider who is ACCME accredited and awards AMA PRA Category 1™ credit.
     

Who Should Attend?  

The meeting is free for OGS members—and, encourage your care team to register and make it a day of learning for everyone! The event has been designed to meet the educational needs of physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners involved in the care of patients with gastrointestinal disorders.


Learning Objectives:  

  • Describe new data as it pertains to the implications and options for patients as it pertains to their continued care.

  • Apply updated guidelines for care for chronic liver and GI related diseases.

  • Discuss future directions of therapeutics, diagnostics, and technology in the management of GI and liver diseases.

The Ohio Gastroenterology Society annual meeting provides a unique opportunity to discuss, debate, and network with colleagues and build new relationships with leading experts in GI care. Members benefit from learning and sharing together, the poster presentations will share clinical or and research work in the field of gastroenterology and the exhibit hall is a great place to network with colleagues and connect with company representatives whose products and services are designed to help you and your patients.
