Get Ready to Meet in Columbus on Sept. 19!
We are hosting a Welcome Reception on Friday, September 18 from 8:30 – 9:30 pm. Please join us for drinks and desserts and the chance to network with all our speakers, board members and attendees.
Join your colleagues at Ohio’s premier gastroenterology education meeting at The Renaissance Hotel Westerville Polaris. This exceptional program brings together nationally recognized experts to share the latest advances and emerging trends in digestive disease.
Attendees will gain practical insights into a variety of timely topics relevant to the general gastroenterologist, expert debates on IBD and gastroparesis management, the diagnosis and management of luminal submucosal lesions, important updates in the treatment of MASLD, and the evolving role of neutrophils in GI diseases. Scientific Poster Abstracts:
This is a great opportunity for physicians in training to become involved in the OGS annual meeting and to enhance their reputation both within and outside their training program, and gives them dedicated time to network with physicians about potential practice opportunities. Please encourage those you work with to submit an abstract application.
This year complimentary overnight accommodations are provided to anyone having an abstract accepted!
GI Jeopardy:
We are excited to host OGS’s first GI Jeopardy where Fellows are invited to compete and face off in the ultimate battle of brains and bragging rights. Please encourage your institution to enter the challenge. We will be accepting two Fellows from each institution. To support your team, the Ohio Gastroenterology Society is providing free Friday night lodging for all competing members. Beyond the incredible camaraderie and excitement of a room filled with people who love GI, the stakes are high. The winning team will take home the official GI Championship Trophy for ultimate pride, along with a cash prize of $200 for each first-place team member, and $100 for each second-place member.
The meeting is free for OGS members. Everyone can earn valuable continuing education credits. Please share this with your colleagues, staff and residents/fellows you work with, and I look forward to seeing you in September!

New format and topics:
This year’s program will feature cutting-edge presentations from experts in Ohio as well as national experts on exciting topics such as a debate in Gastroparesis, an update of MASLD, a debate on IBD and much more!
Special post event bonus sessions for fellows to hear about the different types of GI practices with opportunities for practices to network with fellows and discuss recruitment, as well as a special breakout session where residents will gain insight on how to match in a GI fellowship.
