March Message from Our OGS President

Dear Colleagues-

I would like to update you on a few items on our 2024 agenda.

Our next Annual OGS meeting and CME event will take place on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at the same location – Renaissance Columbus Westerville-Polaris Hotel, Columbus, Ohio. The registration is free for all OGS members. I would encourage all current OGS members to renew your membership and encourage your colleagues who are not current members to join our society. There is strength in numbers when we approach our legislators for any regulatory, insurance related, or state legislative issues. Membership is free for gastroenterology fellows, medical residents, and students.

The link to renew your membership is www.ohiogisociety.org/membership. You can call 614-527-6728 or email ohgastro@osma.org to enroll in case of any online issues.

Our education committee chair Dr. Dany Raad is assembling an excellent agenda for this educational meeting. This is an excellent opportunity to earn some CME and meet colleagues from across the state. More detailed information regarding the agenda for the meeting will follow in the next few months but save the date and we hope to see you at the meeting. Attendees often say the networking and socializing, in addition to the excellent scientific discussions, are the highlights of the meeting.

If you are interested in serving on one of our OGS committees, please go to www.ohiogisociety.org/contact and send us your information. If there are any GI practice related legislative or regulatory issues that you feel strongly about, please bring those to our attention so that we can advocate on your behalf.

Thank you. Wish you a very happy and healthy year ahead!

Sincerely,

Sangeeta Agrawal, MD, FACG, FASGE, AGAF

OGS President
